Xeomin is a purified injectable, meaning that it works very much like Botox, but without the additives (accessory proteins) found in the original Botox formula. A benefit of the pure-form injectable is that the human body is less likely to become resistant to it. Some patients have developed antibodies to other injectables.

Xeomin functions by blocking the signal from the nerves to the muscles. Since the injected muscle can no longer contract completely, the wrinkles in the area relax for a softer, more youthful look. Xeomin can be used to treat unwanted lines on the face, forehead, or around the eyes including frown lines and crow’s feet.
